Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mir Tariq Ali chaired a meeting to review progress of various projects being executed under AMRUT and JTPRF here at Municipal central office Karan Nagar.
In a statement, SMC spokesperson said during the meeting, various components of AMRUT including storm water drainage at different places in Srinagar, sewerage, Urban Transportation, Development of Multi level parking and Green spaces were reviewed at length. It was informed in the meeting that 30 projects have been identified under AMRUT. Out of these, 29 projects have been tendered
Commissioner was also apprised that five projects have got completed including storm water drainage Mallabagh, storm water drainage Gangbugh, Extension of Tulip Garden, development of Bemina park and Idle park at Pantha Chowk.
Stressing on submission of report on the prescribed format for completed projects, Commissioner reviewed status of reforms under AMRUT and status of NOCs to be sought from other departments. It was also identified that 19 projects are under execution.
Besides a review of all the projects and procurement along with physical and financial status of projects thereof was also taken .
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner SMC Nazir Ahmed Baba, FA/ CAO Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Joint Commissioner Adm Syed Abul Qasim, Joint Commissioner Works SMC, S.E Drainage circle, Deputy Director P&M SMC.
