Shah Inspects development scenario in Downtown


Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rasheed Shah Thursday undertook an extensive tour of downtown to inspect developmental scenario.
The DC visited historical markets of Bohri Kadal, Zaina Kadal and Maharaj Gunj and took stock of concerns of traders. He held separate meetings with trading bodies of these markets, discussed several areas of concern including transportation, traffic management, fire and emergency facilities and availability of financial services.
The discussions also revolved around finding means to ease traffic congestion at major squares like Soura Chowk, Hawal Chowk, Gowjwara Chowk, Razia Kadal and Seki Dafar.
The DC assured local representatives that the issues raised will be addressed at the earliest possible. Shah also reviewed progress of different works under execution there under Srinagar Smart City Project. 
He visited Naqashband Sahib shrine at Khwaja Bazar and inspected the ongoing preservation work of the historic mosque. Senior officers from departments concerned accompanied the DC.
