Progess of AMRUT reviewed


Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today convened a meeting to review the status of projects in Srinagar city-funded under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) which are being executed by Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED).
Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Asiea Naqash and minister of State for Power Development, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi were also present on the occasion. 
The deputy Chief Minister was informed that 16 schemes worth Rs 70 crore have been taken up under the AMRUT in the summer capital.
Reviewing progress of the development works, Dr Singh said that the several major towns of the State would also be covered under AMRUT so that they are replete with all the modern facilities of urban living. He asked the executing agency to ensure timely completion of the projects through proper monitoring and supervision at the highest level.
