Prisoners of Paradise released

Karwan-e-Umeed and Let’s write, an organization based in Pune, organised a book release function at ‘The Other Side Café & Fine Dine Nigeen here.  
“Through the event, we helped first time writers to write, edit and publish their books which included ‘Prisoners of Paradise’. This book has been authored by a 23-year old Kashmiri writer Asif khan and co-authored by a Delhi based writer Mansi Narula Kayshap,” the organizers said in a statement. 
“Book is based in Kashmir and is an unusual story of two Kashmiri teenagers amidst the curfew-laden Kashmir valley,” the statement said  Aamir Ali founder Let’s write said ‘our aim is to inculcate book reading and writing culture among the youth of Kashmir and encourage youth of Kashmir to write and publish their books”
Zareef Ahmad Zareef, renowned Kashmiri poet, writer, social activist and environmentalist, who was the chief guest on the occasion said “person is remembered not for his wealth, but for his contribution towards the society.” 
He said that “Kashmir does not lack the talent in any field but what is required is dedication.” He congratulated the author for his endeavor for authoring the book. 
At the release function, founders Karwan-e-Umeed, advocate Fahim Mehraj and Danish Noor said that such events provide us the platform to share views and emotions and to get ourselves relieved. They also added that literature in any society is something that can be gifted to the coming generation. They said that every individual needs to bring a positive change in himself which will itself change the entire society. They said that such events will be organized in future too.
Among others present on the occasion include Dr Ufra Mir, Mrs. Mansi Narula Kayshap, and noted Kashmir poet Mr Huaizafa Pandit.
