DC Srinagar announces coaching classes for civil service aspirants


In a significant initiative district development commissioner, Srinagar, Syed Abid Rashid Shah announced start of coaching classes for aspirants of civil services and other competitive examinations here on Thursday. 
Shah made the announcement while addressing a group of students from Islamia College of Science and Commerce (ICSC) and other institutions of Kashmir Valley, aspiring to make careers in civil services, banking, MNCs, corporate sector and other allied fields. 
The development commissioner announced that in the first instance coaching for civil services, IBPS (All India Banking Exam) CAT, CMAT, ToEFL, NET and SLET shall be covered. 
Study material and other logistics shall be arranged by the district administration to establish a state of the art coaching facility at the college.  
The initiative is aimed to facilitate young boys and girls in general and Sher-e-Khas in particular, who for various reasons cannot afford to have coaching and proper counseling, said a statement. 
The College has already created a registration portal and the interested aspirants can log on to the college website www.islamiacollege.edu.in to get themselves enrolled. The registration shall be open from 12 to 19 of January, 2019.
The Superintendent of Police North Sajad Ahmad was also present on the occasion. The session started with welcome address from College Principal Prof (Dr) Yaseen Ahmad Shah.
