APDP holds sit-in


Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) held a sit-in on Saturday to commemorate the struggle of parents and relatives of disappeared persons in Kashmir. 
Scores of relatives of disappeared persons holding banners and photos of their disappeared loved ones assembled at Partap Park here demanding whereabouts of their loved ones.
APDP holds protest sit-ins on 10th of every month to commemorate the struggle of the families of disappeared persons.
“Only two days back, world was celebrating International Women’s day highlighting issues of women all around while as the state is keeping a lid on the plight of the female folk especially half widows, mothers are seeking whereabouts of their loved who went missing in custody of various security agencies” said Parveena Ahanger, chairperson APDP. 
“APDP today reiterates its demand for setting up an independent judicial commission for investigating into cases of enforced disappearances”, she said.
