Tagmarg missing youth found murdered, 2 persons held


Body of a Tangmarg youth who was missing since August 24, was found buried near a stream at Khaipora, Tangmarg, in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, police said. 
Police claimed the deceased was murdered by two locals. Police has arrested the accused cousins identified as Irshad Ahmad Wani and Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, both residents of the same area. 
According to police, Mehraj-ud-Din Teeli, 25, of Reshipora Khaipora Tangmarg had gone missing on August 24, and a missing complaint was filed by his father at police station Tangmarg on August 26.  
After two weeks of sustained questioning “the accused confessed that they murdered Teeli,” police said. 
Police claimed that the accused took Teeli one and half kilometres away from his home and thereafter murdered him. “He was buried by the accused near a stream, in the Reshipora, Khaipora Tangmarg,” police said. 
Meanwhile, Tangmarg police has sent body for autopsy and other medico-legal formalities.
