Militant killed in Arampora gunfight masterminded Sopore IED blast: Kashmir police


Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that one of the militants killed in Sopore gunfight was the mastermind behind an IED blast in the town that left four policemen dead in January this year.
A spokesman said that the two militants killed in the gunfight were non-locals. “Both of them were from Pakistan. They have been identified as Ali @ Athar & Zia-ur-Rehman. Ali was mastermind behind the Sopore IED blast in which four policemen were martyred,” he said.
He said both the slain were affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit.
