Kashmir: Residents protest after army allegedly goes berserk in Ashtengoo village

Army on Monday allegedly went berserk in Ashtengoo village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after their cavalcade was pelted stones with stones.
The residents alleged that army men broke window panes of residential houses and damaged several vehicles parked on the road side here.
"They broke everything that came their way in the village. They unleashed a reign of terror in the area," they said.
The residents later held a protest demonstration and blocked Bandipora-Sopore road to register their protest.
A senior police official of the district said that a cavalcade of army which passed through the village came under stone pelting. "The situation has been brought under control," he said.
