Day 3: Shopian shuts against civilian, militant killings


Shutdown was observed in Shopian district on Thursday for the third successive day against civilian and militant killings.
Two Jaish militants including a local and foreigner were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Kundalan village of the district, while a teenager Tamsheel Ahmad Khan was killed in post gunfight clashes earlier this week.
All commercial establishments and educational institutes remained closed in the district.
Skeletal transport could be seen moving in the district at scattered places.
Meanwhile, internet services remained suspended for the fifth successive day in the district.
