BI-ANNUAL 10TH CLASS EXAMINATION: Purported video of copying at 2 centres goes viral

A video went viral on social media on Wednesday showing some boys purportedly trying to pass chits at some examination centres in Handwara here, where the students were writing mathematics papers for class 10th bi-annual examination.
Sources alleged copying at the exam centres 5210 and 5211 in the higher secondary school Handwara.
An eyewitness said some boys outside the exam centres were trying to pass the notes through the windows. "The boys were warned many times by the superintendent to leave the spot," Rayees Ahmad of Handwara said.
A video showed boys purportedly hanging from the windows of the exam centres trying to pass the notes.
The locals of the area demanded investigation and appealed for shifting of the exam centres from higher secondary school Handwara. "If the boys are copying what is the purpose of their studying," asked Rashid Ahmad of Handwara.
When contacted, chief education officer Kupwara Mohamad Shafi said nothing like copying had taken place in the exam centres. "Some boys outside the exam centre in the beginning tried to pass some notes but they were stopped and asked to leave the exam centre premises by the superintendent," Mohammad Shafi said.
He said that police men had been placed “from the front side of the school. "From the back side, the teachers were monitoring and handling the situation only to keep it normal and avert any chance of stone pelting," he said.
