NHM Union urges Governor to formulate regularisation policy

The local unit of NHM Employees Union, under the supervision of Raza Ganai, urged upon the Governor N N Vohra to formulate a regularisation policy for all National Health Mission employees on account of their long pending demand.
In a press statement, Ganai said more than 10,000 employees are working in the Health department under different schemes of NHM, which include RBSK, NCDS, IDPS, RNTCP, JKSACS and NACO, for more than twelve years. “We are well qualified, but where do we go now? We deserve to be regularised. We have crossed the upper age limit for government jobs and the government is still neglecting the NHM staff,” he said.
Ganai further said, “We have been approaching the government and all concerned departments/agencies since the last 6 years, asking them to frame a regularisation policy, but nothing has been done yet.”
The association appealed to the Governor to redress their problems at an earliest.
