Day 59: FMPHWs continue to agitate for pending salaries, regularization

Demanding pending salaries, regularization besides redressal of other issues, the Female Multi Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) today continued their protest demonstration against the government for 59th consecutive day at Doda.
The protesting female health workers said that they will “gherao Governor House at Srinagar” as the government has failed to address their long pending demands.
While talking to media, Shakuntla Devi, spokesperson of Female Multi Purpose Health Workers (FMPHW) Association, Doda, said that the female health workers have been compelled to go on agitation.
“Multi purpose workers are on strike for the past around two months as their long pending demands are not fulfilled,” she said, “the higher authorities of health department have expressed their inability to fulfill our demands so we have decided to gherao the Governor House at Srinagar”.
Projecting their demands, they demanded release of pending salaries, regularization and fixing seniority of the already regularized multipurpose health workers.
