Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan will reunite for Kick 2, the sequel to their 2014 blockbuster action comedy.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and made the huge announcement. Nadiadwala, who made his directorial debut with Kick, will return to direction in the sequel. As reported earlier, the film will release on Christmas 2019.
Salman will have two releases next year as Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat will also release on Eid 2019. While the festival has been lucky for the star and has given him hits like Wanted, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dabangg, Christmas proved to be his best shot yet when Zafar’s spy thriller Tiger Zinda Hai became Khan’s highest grosser so far. The film that released on Christmas 2017 is still running successfully in theatres.
Salman is currently shooting for Remo D’Souza’s action thriller Race 3 opposite Jacqueline Fernandez, who was also cast opposite him in Kick 2. Race 3 will release on Eid this year. The star is then likely to commence shooting for Bharat and Prabhu Deva’s action entertainer Dabangg 3 at the same time.
However, the release date of Dabangg 3 has not been announced yet. If it also releases next year, it will be after years that Salman will have three releases within the same calendar year
