J&K State Co-Operative Bank holds condolence meet


SRINAGAR: J&K State Cooperative Bank on Monday held a condolence meeting at corporate office here to pay tributes the bank’s employee Showkat Ahmad, who passed away on Monday morning after a brief illness who was admitted at SKIMS Soura after a severe brain haemorrhage.
The meeting was attended by Chairman M S Dar, Managing Director M Latief and other senior officers of the bank. Official work of the bank was suspended throughout the day.
Recalling the contribution of the departed towards the bank, the chairman of the bank said, “He was an asset and is a great loss to the bank. We all mourn his death in sorrow and share the grief with deepest sympathies and condolences,” an official statement issued here read.
Funeral prayers in absentia and prayers for his eternal peace were also offered for the deceased which was attended by the all the staff members. “The members prayed strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss”, the statement added.
